Quick answers
- "You've used today's AI checks." The AI features have a daily limit per account: 30 identifications or care-guide lookups and 20 health checks in any 24 hours. They come back on their own; there is nothing to reset.
- "That doesn't look like a plant." Try again in daylight with a few whole leaves in frame, and from a little further back. You can submit up to three photos at once.
- The identification is wrong. When Canopy isn't sure it shows up to three candidates; you can pick a different one or type the plant's name and it will write the care guide from that.
- No reminders arrive. Reminders are scheduled on your phone, not sent from a server, so the app needs notification permission: check Settings → Reminders → Notifications in the app, and your phone's notification settings for Canopy. Reminders are rebuilt each time you open the app, so opening it after a long gap brings them back.
- Signed out, or new phone? Your plants live in your account, not on the phone. Sign in again with the same method (Google or Apple) and everything comes back. Signing out cancels the reminders on that phone until you sign in again.
- Who can see my photos? Only you. They are stored in a private folder that only your account can read. Photos you submit for identification and health checks are analysed by OpenAI; see the Privacy Policy for details.
Your account and data
To delete your account, use Settings → Delete account in the app, or see the data deletion page if you can no longer sign in. For everything about what Canopy stores, read the Privacy Policy.
